RED KNIGHTS INTERNATIONAL FIREFIGHTERS MOTORCYCLE CLUB - PA 22
IRON & STEEL 2010



Emergency services provided an unbelievable send off to the Iron & Steel escort via land, sea and air. Nearly every overpass
was covered by fire, EMS and police apparatus from Brooklynn to DC. The FDNY Marine Division handled the assignment
from Gravesend Bay, while NYPD provided an aerial escort.


OPERATION: SHOEBOX

Chapter members donated, sorted and packed enough items
to put together 44 individual troop packages. The chapter
chose to get involved in the project, coordinated by Ms. Erin
Barefoot as her confirmation project.

Chapter members delivered the packages to St. Gregory's Members pose with Ms. Barefoot in front of the end result of
Church, where Erin's mom processes them for shipping. her project. In all, Erin received enough donations to provide
118 troops with much appreciated supplies. Great Job, Erin !!!

on June 2nd. This fall, Mark will be attending the University of Tyler, a member of Hastings VFD and Hasting EMS, plans
Pittsburgh at Johnstown. on attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
2010 Fire Ride

The 3rd Annual Fire Ride took the participants on a 120 mile ride through western PA, with stops at the Gallitzin, East Taylor
and Portage Fire Departments. The event provided funds for the chapter to make a $1,500 donation to the Cambria County fire
training facility. The donation was presented at the annual county firemen's convention held in East Conemaugh Borough.

Thunder in the Valley 2010

PA 22 joins members of the New York City Fire Riders, RKMC PA 6 and the Chrome Divas in a photo-op after the Grand
Parade. The group then travelled for a customary visit to the Flight 93 Memorial and the Shanksville Fire Station, home of a
cross made of World Trade Center steel that was presented two years ago by the FDNY.







Cambria County Convention Parade - Conemaugh, PA

14 members members represented the chapter at the 89th Annual Cambria County Firemen's Convention parade in
East Conemaugh, PA. Six more members participated in other capacities during the parade.
